Original Longhair - TLH
This is a preliminary standard.
Final version is to be approved by the Standard Commission, and will soon be published.
General | The Original Longhair is the result of breeders wanting to preserve the head and body type, as well as coat quality and colour of the original English Chinchilla. It is sometimes also known as the Sterling, Chinchilla Longhair, Traditional Longhair or Doll-faced Persian. Only Silver and Golden varieties were allowed initially, but other colours and patterns were added later. Breeders of Silver and Golden varieties strive to keep the lines pure. It is a medium sized cat with body and head type resembling the original longhair show cats. It has a striking long, full, silky coat. | Points |
